Gorakhpur / Mahoba (UP). Union minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for controlling the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh, comparing him to Lord Krishna. Union Highways Minister Gadkari reiterated the intentions of building an expressway network in the state to make the roads at par with the roads in the US. After laying the foundation stone and inaugurating various national highway projects worth Rs 10,000 crore here, he said, “Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken tough steps to save people from evil practices and dangerous trends prevailing in the society. On behalf of the people of the country and in my personal capacity, I congratulate him for the steps taken by him.

Referring to a recent conversation with his wife, the Union minister said, ‘My wife asked me what is happening in Uttar Pradesh. He told me about the epic Bhagavad Gita in which God has said that whenever there is injustice, he will incarnate and put an end to evil.”

Addressing Chief Minister Adityanath, who was present on the dais, Gadkari said, “Yogi ji is also working in the same way for the safety of the gentlemen, as Lord Krishna did. They have taken strong steps against such people, who are dangerous for the society.

It is worth mentioning that in Uttar Pradesh, strict action to curb crimes and news of breaking illegal properties of mafias and wrongdoers with bulldozers often keep coming in the state. The tough measures in this regard have earned Adityanath the nickname “Bulldozer Baba”. Gorakhpur has been the ‘karmabhoomi’ of Chief Minister Adityanath. He has been elected to the Lok Sabha several times from there and is currently an MLA from the Gorakhpur Urban constituency. Gadkari said “I am happy that Yogi ji has set an example regarding the law and order situation. I had said earlier that we will make the roads of Uttar Pradesh at par with America and our efforts have started in that direction.

He said, “Yogi ji, I assure you that gradually the flight service from Delhi to Lucknow will stop as people will be forced to think whether to go by air or by road.”

Gadkari said that the development of roads in Uttar Pradesh would remove poverty, hunger and unemployment in the state. He said that there is a need to bring automobile industry in the state so that more and more youth get employment. Earlier, while addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Adityanath said that today a strong network of road infrastructure is visible across the country with the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
