UP: A young man who landed in the river dies due to drowning during the idol immersion in Mathura

During the immersion of the statue of Lord Ganesha in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, a young man from Hathras died after drowning in deep water. Police sources said that Amit (22) of Kursanda village of Sadabad police station area of ​​Hathras along with other people of the village reached Mauja Musadpur Ghat near village Nera in Baldev police station area.

After immersion of the statue, many people of the village landed in the river with the intention of bathing. Deputy Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Kumar Rai said that Amit was also taking a bath with them all. Meanwhile, he went towards deep water and started drowning. By the time people came to know about him, he went missing in the waves.

On finding out the drowning of the young man, the divers reached there and started searching for him. His body was later taken out. He said that since the victim’s family or any other did not give any tahrir in this case, no case was registered. If the family gives Tahrir, action will be taken.
