A young man riding a bicycle died after coming under the wheel of a high speed truck on Saturday in Chandauli district of Uttar Pradesh. Police gave this information. Villagers angry with this incident blocked traffic on the road, later the police understood and restored traffic.
Inspector (SHO) in charge of Mughalsarai Kotwali police station in the district, Gagan Raj Singh said that the deceased youth has been identified as Tilaku Chauhan (35), resident of Khajur village of Alinagar police station area. He used to work as a laborer.
Tilaku Chauhan was going by a bicycle on the Mughalsarai-Panchwati road near Chittampur village at around 12:30 pm, when a truck loaded with a sand coming from the opposite direction hit him and he died after coming under the wheel of the truck.
According to the police, on receiving information about the jam, the jurisdictional (CO) Rajiv Sisodia reached the spot with the police force. He opened the jam by assuring people of investigation. After the incident, the driver left the truck and fled. The police have registered a case with the seizure of the truck. The matter is being investigated in detail.
