In Balrampur district of Uttar Pradesh, the police raided a lounge and busted eight accused, including four women, busted in the alleged body trade. Police gave this information.
According to the police, nine accused, including four women involved in body trade in Meerut, were arrested. Balrampur Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikas Kumar said that on receiving complaints of body trade in lounge and hotels, the police raided Mangal Prasad Tent House in Pahalwara locality and arrested a person and two women named Sahajaram.
He said that after raiding the ‘Aman Lounge’ located on Civil Line, two women along with Anwar, Siraj, Barkat Ali were arrested. The SP said that all the accused were arrested and produced in the court under the relevant sections of the Immortal Trade Prevention Act.
According to a police official, a joint team of police station AHTU (Anti Human Trafficking Unit) in Meerut district and a joint team of Mahila Police Station have raided the Kabadi Bazar area and arrested nine accused by busting 17 women by busting the alleged body trade gang illegally operated.
There are four women among the arrested accused. The action was taken late on Thursday night under the leadership of Police Officer (Cant) Navina Shukla. An FIR has been lodged against the accused at the AHTU police station.
The arrested accused include Masood, Ilyas, Zakir, Yakub and Kanhaiya besides four women. All were produced in court on Friday, from where they were sent to jail in judicial custody.
