Union Minister Scindia inaugurated Shivpuri-Jhansi Link Road, expresses gratitude to Gadkari and CM Mohan Yadav

Shivpuri/Gwalior. Union Minister for Communications and North Eastern Region Development and Guna MP Jyotiraditya M. Scindia inaugurated the 12.18 km long Jhansi Link Road (Old NH-25) connecting Shivpuri to Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh) and dedicated it to the public. Construction of this road was completed before the deadline fixed at a cost of Rs 20.37 crore. This road connects to Madhav National Park passing through Shivpuri and a new bridge of development and contact will be created between the two states.
On this occasion, the Union Minister said that no nation can progress without infrastructure. Roads and connectivity are the foundation of development. This road is not only a symbol of physical development, but is a path to the dreams and aspirations of the people of Shivpuri. Apart from this, Scindia apprised Shivpuri about the gifts like the airport, Ken Betwa Project and Adani Defense Project soon to meet Shivpuri.

Work completed in less than 2 years

Scindia said that the project was started on 15 October 2023 and the time limit for its completion was fixed on 15 October 2025 but the project was completed before the deadline due to the government’s commitment to the government’s development and public welfare. Explaining other features of Jhansi Link Road, he said that construction of 11 culverts on this road and road safety furniture at a cost of Rs 15 lakh has been installed so that wildlife roaming in the tiger reserve can be safe. Apart from this, a 2.4 km two-lane asphalt route was also prepared near Shivpuri airstrip, which will facilitate tourists and passengers.

This road is the lifeline of Shivpuri like heart artery: Scindia

Scindia said that earlier the farmers used to get upset while carrying their produce to the market due to the dilapidated condition of this route and the passengers had difficulty in reaching Jhansi. Now this shining road will be solved by all problems. Giving examples, he said that as the heart artery inside the body transmits blood throughout the body, this is the lifeline of Jhansi Link Road Shivpuri.

This project will open the doors of new possibilities for the region: Scindia

The Union Minister said that this project will open the doors of new possibilities for the area. For the 9th Tiger Reserve Madhav National Park of the state, this road has also been prepared in an environmentally sensitive manner. He congratulated the road construction team and the forest department, who did the work ahead of time despite the challenges.
Scindia said that apart from this road, not one, two, but more than 75 substations have been approved to strengthen the power supply in Shivpuri area. Recently, new 33/11 KV power sub -stations have been approved in many villages. He said that if his name is Scindia, then it is his responsibility to deliver the light of Jyoti from house to house.

Many other big gifts going to meet Shivpuri soon

Regarding the development of the region, Scindia said that the airport is going to start soon in the area, millions of farmer families will be benefited from the Ken-Betwa link project of Rs 44,000 crore and the Adani Defense Unit of Rs 2500 crore is going to be set up. Apart from this, he also mentioned the schemes of irrigation and water conservation, which will provide new strength to regional agriculture and water resources management in the coming years. The Union Minister said that the central and state governments are committed to the all -round development of the region and today’s inauguration and other upcoming projects are evidence of this dedication.

These projects will connect Gwalior-Chambal zone with the mainstream of development

Scindia said that this path is not only physical, but also a symbol of the emotional relationship connected by their ancestors to Shivpuri’s land. This road and new substation will not only be Shivpuri, but will connect the entire Gwalior-Chambal zone with the mainstream of development. He expressed special gratitude to Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, saying that these projects have been possible only with their vision and cooperation.
In the end Scindia said that BJP’s double engine government is committed to shed the Ganga of development in the entire state including Shivpuri, Guna, Ashoknagar. He thanked all the engineers, employees and the public and said that the pace of development will not be blocked as long as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is blessed.
