Under the leadership of Jyotiraditya Scindia, a new flight of development is filling the northeastern region, a picture of the area changed from energy-enderer and skill development

North Eastern Region of India – Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim are not only famous for their amazing natural wealth, biodiversity and cultural diversity, but it is also very important from strategic point of view. Due to prolonged geographical inaccessible, lack of infrastructure and lack of development plans, the region could not move at the expected pace. But in recent years, the North-Eastern Region Development Ministry led by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has taken concrete steps to connect the region with the mainstream of national development and pave the way for all-round progress.

When Jyotiraditya Scindia met the media at the Habitat Center in New Delhi on Tuesday, during an informal discussion, he told how overall development is being done in the Northeast under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. When Prabhasakshi’s editor Neeraj Kumar Dubey interacted with Union Minister Scindia, many important facts emerged which are as follows-

If seen, connectivity has been the biggest challenge for the development of the Northeast. Lack of road, rail and air connectivity kept investment and industry stopped. But Doner has increased investment in the infrastructure of roads, bridges, health and education under the “North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme” (Nesids). Also, flights connecting cities like Guwahati, Imphal, Dibrugarh, Agartala with other parts of the country have become regular under the Regional Scheme (UDAN). Special attention has been paid to the expansion of airports during Scindia’s tenure, making the new center of Northeast Tourism and Business.

In addition, the northeast region is endowed with rivers, forests and mineral resources. Doner is emphasizing the continuous use of these resources. Hydropower projects have been given momentum so that not only the power needs of the area are met but surplus power can also be made available to other parts of the country. In addition, schemes based on renewable energy sources, especially solar and biomass, are being promoted.

At the same time, Doner has worked to connect the youth with IT, tourism, agro-exposure and handicraft industries through skills and skill development programs. In addition, initiatives like ‘One District One Product’ have been taken to bring regional handicrafts and handloom products to the national and global market. Additionally, the identity of the Northeast is being displayed on a wide platform through cultural fairs and sports events.

If seen, this region, rich in natural beauty, can become a paradise of tourism. Therefore, Doner has encouraged eco-tourism, adventure tourism and religious tourism projects. The North East Greedeation Program and Investment Conferences have also been organized to attract foreign investors and the country’s major industry groups.

There is no doubt that development is possible only when peace and stability remains. Doner is trying to coordinate with the Ministry of Home Affairs, reduce regional disturbance and connect local youth with mainstream development. Apart from this, work is being done to prevent the problem of migration by improving infrastructure in the border villages and increasing employment opportunities.

However, there is no doubt that Doner, led by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, has given a new priority and momentum to the development of the northeastern region. Better connectivity, energy projects, skill development, tourism and investment, and cultural-social empowerment-all of these have combined the Northeast in the stream of progress of India. In the coming years, this region will not only become self -sufficient but will also contribute a decisive contribution to the target of “developed India 2047”.
