The United Nations Security Council on Friday dismissed another last attempt to delay restrictions on Iran a day before the deadline. Western countries claimed that no concrete agreement could be reached despite weeks meetings with the authorities. This step is taken at a time when a series of United Nations restrictions is about to be implemented, as mentioned in Iran’s 2015 nuclear deal with world powers. This will restrict Iranian properties abroad, stop arms deals with Tehran and punitive action will be taken on any development of Iran’s ballistic missile program, as well as further pressure on the staggering economy of the country.

The Iranian President Masood Pageshkian condemned the expected “return” of sanctions, speaking on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
He described the move as “inappropriate, unjust and illegal”, but said that Iran would not react to the Nuclear Non -Proliferation Treaty – it was a step that North Korea had taken up by North Korea before making nuclear weapons in 2003.After accusing Tehran of not following the 2015 nuclear deal, Iranian properties will be seized abroad under these sanctions imposed by Britain, France and Germany, arms deals will be banned and missile development will be fined.
The proposal of Iran’s most strong colleague in the 15-member council, Russia and China failed due to absence from 4-9 votes and two votes. Four countries – China, Russia, Pakistan and Algeria – supported Iran to give more time to interact with European countries and the United States.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said after voting, “America has betrayed diplomacy, but it is E3 that has buried it.”

The European leaders started the so-called “Snapback” system last month after accusing Tehran of not following the terms of the agreement and not reaching a diplomatic solution even after a high-level dialogue.
Araghchi interacted with European leaders for weeks in the hope of compromising in the last time. But Western diplomats said that the conversation “did not have any new development or any new result.”
Pageshkian opposed this, saying that it was American and Europeans who blocked the progress. “American never came, what do we do?” He accused Washington of adopting a lax attitude during the previous talks.
Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also declared peace talks with the US as “completely deadlock”, reducing the possibilities of the agreement.
Despite the stress, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed that the inspectors are present in Iran. They are currently examining another safe site in June after aerial attacks targeting nuclear installations by Israel and the United States.
Iran has threatened that it will stop cooperation with IAEA if the restrictions are applied again. But European leaders say that the steps taken so far are not enough to prevent restrictions from re -implementation on Saturday.
