Ukraine announced about India, will not buy diesel

Ukraine’s Energy Consultation firm said that Ukraine is going to stop purchasing diesel from India. According to the firm, it will ban the import of diesel fuel produced from India from October 1. It is being told that this ban is being imposed in view of India’s Russian oil purchase. The news agency Reuters quoted the Encore as saying. According to the agency, another Consultation N9 of Ukraine said earlier this year that a major Ukrainian oil refinery had to be shut down in summer this year.

The reason behind the closure of the refinery had to make up for Ukrainian traders to buy diesel fuel from India. Even Ukrainian Defense Ministry has procured fuel from India. Its quality is considered good.
Russia is attacking Ukraine’s oil refinery and energy sector reserves from drones, missiles. This damaged Ukraine’s refinery and oil storage facility. Encor says that Ukrainian security agencies have ordered that all types of diesel purchased from India should be investigated.

The firm says that Indian diesel should be investigated in the lab so that it can be found out that there are no Russian components in it. Encor says that Ukrainian security agencies have ordered that all consignments of imported Indian diesel fuel be analyzed so that the presence of Russian components can be checked.

Encor said Ukraine imported 119,000 tonnes of Indian diesel fuel in August, 18% of the total diesel imports. Prior to the full war that began with Russia in 2022, Ukraine imported mainly from Belarus and Diesel fuel from Russia to compensate for domestic production. Since 2022 it has been mainly imported from Western European countries. A-95 said that in the first half of the year, the import of diesel fuel fell 13% to 2.74 million metric tons in the first half of the year.
