Ujjain Development Authority of Madhya Pradesh demolished an illegal construction located near the Mahakal temple. A large number of police forces and municipal employees were also present during this period. The CEO of the Ujjain Development Authority said that this plot is part of the residential scheme developed by Ujjain Development Authority. All leases on the front road were initially for residential use, but instead, people used them for business purposes, which are against the rules. About a year ago, the Ujjain Development Authority abolished the lease, after which the structures became illegal construction. Later, legal orders were issued. Today, house number 19, which was used for business activities in two sections, is being demolished.

Municipal Corporation Deputy Commissioner Santosh Tagore said that we were instructed to provide machinery and assistance by the UDA, which we have deployed, including 2 JCBs, 2 Poklen and a dumper. Around 60-70 employees are currently working here. We are cooperating in the work being done here. The Ramghat temple situated on the banks of the Shipra River in Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh was submerged due to continuous rains due to the rise in the water level of the river.

This coincidence of rising the water level of the river took place on the occasion of Hindu religious festival Rishi Panchami, the day a large number of devotees gathered for holy bath. A large crowd of devotees increased the concern of the administration, due to which adequate security personnel were deployed to ensure security at the ghats. State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) jawan Devendra Singh told ANI that the water level of Shipra river has increased today due to heavy rains. The water level on the small bridge over the river is about 2-3 feet. There is also a crowd of devotees today due to Rishi Panchami. We are requesting the devotees not to go deep and take a bath while sitting on the shore because the water level is quite high.
