DCP Rupinder Singh said that the cyber cell is investigating both social media profiles. He said that spreading wrong information on social media is a crime. The youth posted fake videos, causing an atmosphere of fear among the people. The Ludhiana police is adopting a zero tolerance policy on the misuse of social media.

The police have appealed to the people to check their truth before sharing any information. Relying only on official sources. Cybercrime unit and social media cells are constantly monitoring.
