Two youths died of drug overdose

The fury of drugs is not stopping. Day by day, the lamp of one or the other house is getting exposed to this drug-like monster. The news of the death of two youths due to drug overdose has come to light in Talla village near Tanda of Hoshiarpur. The deceased have been identified as Avtar Singh alias Ajay son of Dildar Singh and Sahil son of Channa. According to information, both youths used to work as waiters in weddings. The police have taken the bodies of both the youths into custody and kept them for post-mortem.

SI Malkit Singh, who is investigating the matter, said that Sulkhan Singh, a farmer of Talla village, when he went round his fields as usual, he saw Avtar and Sahil lying unconscious near the tube well room. Seeing this, he shouted, hearing the noise, the surrounding people gathered. After this, Sulkhan Singh informed the Tanda police about the matter.

As soon as the information was received, the police of Tanda reached the spot and took possession of the bodies and kept them in the civil hospital mortuary for post-mortem. SI Malakiat Singh said that on the statements of Avtar Singh’s father Dildar Singh, the police have registered a case against the three accused Makhan son of Tari, Raju son of Balkar and Happy who are residents of Bhaini Mian Khan village in Gurdaspur.

It is being told that all these three accused are residents of Bhaini Mian Khan, Budhawala, Gurdaspur. The accused smuggle drugs in the area. At present, raids are being conducted by the police to arrest the accused. According to the police, the accused will be arrested soon.
