In Uttar Pradesh, Gautam Budhnagar District Police has arrested two sons of a transport businessman for assaulting two brothers in Sector 53 and trying to crush them with a Thar car.
The police gave this information on Thursday. The police have made these arrests after the video of the incident went viral on social media. Two police officers, including a police station in -charge, have been suspended and the vehicle has been seized.
According to police officials, police of police station Sector 24 arrested Aman Awana, son of transport businessman Sudhir Awana and Akash Awana on Wednesday night. He hails from Sector 23 of Noida here.
According to him, during interrogation, the accused said that there was a dispute between the two sides over the comment on social media and the accused called the victim Sumit Yadav and Saurabh to their office where they were allegedly attacked. Some people involved in this incident are absconding.
Three videos of the incident on Monday went viral on social media on Tuesday. In these, 10-15 people were seen assaulting two brothers and the accused hit a young man in a Thar car and allegedly tried to offer a car on it.
According to the video, the young man jumped into the drain. At the same time, it is seen in the third video that the young man is allegedly being attacked with brick. Police said both the brothers injured in the incident were admitted to the hospital.
Officials said that Akash and Aman Awana have been arrested among the accused while Gaurav Chauhan and Kunal Chauhan are absconding. According to him, teams are raiding possible places to catch other accused.
Regarding this incident, Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh took a tough stand and suspended Sector-24 police station in-charge Inspector Shyambabu Shukla and Gijhod’s outpost in-charge Jagmohan.
It is alleged that he hid the incident from high officials. Singh said that departmental inquiry has also been ordered against suspended officials. Officials said that the Thar video of the Thar in this incident went viral, the traffic police has challaned a online challan of Rs 68,500 based on the registration number.
He informed that this action has been taken in charges of driving in a dangerously driving and driving in the wrong direction. Apart from this, the police has also seized the car.
