In Abohar, the police have exposed a case of drug smuggling. Police Sadar police arrested two youths with 30.26 grams of heroin last night. Both the accused were riding on the bike and smuggling drugs. Under the leadership of Assistant SHO Harmandir Singh

The team noticed that a bike rider was giving something to a young man standing on the road. On seeing the police, the accused got nervous. An accused threw an envelope caught in his hand and tried to escape. Police immediately caught both. When the envelope thrown was investigated, 30.26 grams of heroin was found from it.
The arrested accused have been identified as Rohit and Shampi, residents of Ajit Nagar. The police have registered a case against both the accused under sections 21, 61, 85 of the NDPS Act. Further investigation is on.
