The Amritsar police have busted the gang who blackmailed the capitalists and collecting a hefty amount. Police station Maqboolpura police arrested two accused in this case. The accused used to collect the mobile numbers of the capitalists and talk to the women.

The gang is the mastermind of Varun Kapoor and his partner Anil Singh alias Amarinder Singh. Varun Kapoor was arrested on 30 March and Anil Singh on 31 March. The gang also includes four women, whose search is on.
Women members used to talk on the phone
Investigation revealed that the accused used to collect mobile numbers of the capitalists of the city earlier. Then the female member used to talk to them on the phone. After this Varun Kapoor used to call these women. He used to cover the women’s face and make videos from his mobile.
Many capitalists cheated in the name of blackmail
In these videos, the capitalists were accused of sexual harassment and molestation. The male members of the gang used to call the capitalists and threaten. He used to collect money by sending the video to the media and threatening to spoil his reputation. These accused cheated many people but no one complained for fear of slander.

He tried to blackmail the lion of Guru Ghar but he had full faith in himself. Singh Sahib Jujhar Singh lodged a complaint in the case. Inspector Harprakash Singh of Maqboolpura police station, along with SI Gurcharan Singh and other officials, disclosed the matter and caught the accused.
