Directed by Mahesh Bhatt and Suhrita Das, ‘Tu Meri Puri Kahani’ is an emotional and depth story that reflects the dreams, struggles and dilemmas of today’s younger generation. Although the title may look like a traditional love story, its soul is far more contemporary, sensitive and complex. The film reflects the journey of a young woman trapped between two worlds: love and fame.
You are the story of Tu Mary Meri Romantic musical drama Anika (Hiranya Ojha), who dreams of stardom to avoid her childhood wounds as a failed filmmaker’s illegitimate daughter. His life changes when he falls in love with subway singer Rohan (Arhan Patel), but the pressure of ambition and industry soon starts separating him.
Anika wants to make her mark in the film industry, but she has to face constant rejection and is called only a background dancer and filmmaker Diwakar Kaushik (Tigmanshu Dhulia). When her father tries to get her married against her will, this zealous girl leaves home and starts living with Rohan. Struggling to get a break, the couple uploads a music video that comes to the sight of Raj Mehta (Shammi Duhan), the powerful owner of a large film studio.
Raj gives Anika a five-year contract, but forces her to leave her fairy-like love affair with Rohan. His association is not only professional, but also very private. The film begins with ASHA and poignant touch, composed by Mahesh Bhatt and directed by Suchitra Das: Anika’s determination to restart the reputation of her mother Swara (Juhi Babbar), perform Rohan’s performance to the subway to join the people, as her great father taught her, and Anika was given Anika.
Acting
Hiranya Ojha’s performance is notable. As a budding artist, he has played his character with depth and truth. Their confidence, fear, insecurity and love, they all seem incredibly natural. The second major character of the film is an ambitious composer played by Arhan Patel. He plays his role with restraint and maturity. He never lets his fear or despair dominate himself and remains calm in every situation. His character is a symbol of the youth who dream of a sparkling world, but are unaware of his reality.
Direction and writing
Suhrita Das is making his debut with the film, and she has made a mature and restrained debut. Together with Mahesh Bhatt, he has brought alive a story that is neither very emotional nor artificial. “Two addiction in life can not be together” Dialogue reflects the essence of the film well. The writing of the film gives its identity to every character. This is not just the love story of Anika and musician, but a conflict of dreams, ego and options of three characters.

Anu Malik’s return
The music of the film is composed by Anu Malik, and he has once again proved that music matches a true story can also be impressive. His songs strengthen the emotional layers of the film and flow with him easily, rather than obstructing the story.

The budget or superstar of ‘Tu Meri Puri Kahani’ is not much, but its strength is in its story, acting and music. If the film gets the support of the people, it can definitely draw the attention of the audience.
