US President Donald Trump will arrive on Saudi Arabia visit today. This is Trump’s first formal foreign trip after becoming President for the second time. Earlier, he reached the Vatican on 26 April to attend the funeral of Pope Francis.

Trump will meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) in Saudi’s capital Riyadh on 13 May. After this, on May 14, he will attend the summit of the Gulf leaders and then go to Qatar. On May 15, Trump will reach UAE on the last day of his tour.

There is a tradition of traveling to Canada-Mexico or European country after becoming President in America. After becoming President in 2017, Trump first broke this tradition by reaching Saudi Arabia.

Trump first called MBS after becoming president for the second time

Trump first called Saudi Prince MBS after taking oath as president for the second time. The two leaders discussed efforts to bring stability in the Middle East, strengthen regional security and deal with terrorism.

After this, the Saudi government had issued a statement saying that its country is ready to invest $ 600 billion (Rs 50 lakh crore) in the US within the next four years.

However, Trump had said that he wanted to see it to be increased to 1 trillion dollars, including the purchase of maximum American military equipment.

Saudi Arabia’s Sovereign Wealth Fund and Public Investment Fund (PIF) have a huge amount of $ 925 billion. Saudi has already made several investments in the US through this. At the same time, UAE has also expressed a desire to invest $ 1.4 trillion in the AI, semiconductor, energy and infra sector of America in the next 10 years.

Trump’s good relationship with Saudi Arabia

Trump had a better relationship with Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia during his first term. Even after Trump left the post, Saudi Arabia invested $ 2 billion (Rs 17 thousand crore) in a firm of Trump’s son -in -law and former colleague Jered Kushner.

Several reports claimed that when the relations between Jamal Khashojji were affected by Saudi Arabia and America, Kushner helped to handle it.

Trump is doing this visit to Saudi Arabia on the occasion when his tariff has created a ruckus worldwide. America’s economic production has declined in the first three months of this year, which is the first decline in the last three years.

Trump wants to improve a relationship between Israel-Saudi Arabia

Trump tried to improve the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Israel in the last term. Trump wants Saudi Arabia to recognize Israel. On the other hand, Saudi Arabia says that Palestine became a separate country with East Jerusalem and the limit between them is the same before 1967.

After becoming President for the second time, Trump hoped that Saudi Arabia will accept Abraham Accord. Under this agreement, relations between Israel-Saudi Arabia will improve and Saudi Arabia will make a big defense agreement with the US.

Trump had improved relations between Israel and many Islamic countries in his first term. Bahrain, UAE, Morocco and Sudan had established relations with Israel during Trump’s era.
