NASA gives Astronauts 5 dollars daily for daily expenses NASA’s astronauts are considered a government employee. They get salary just like other government employees. Extra salary is not available for the Extended Mission (long mission)- including overtime, weekends or working on holidays.

- After analyzing the data, NASA decided that the Starlineer Spacecraft is not safe to bring back Sunita and Buch Wilmore, so he brought the Starlineer SpaceCraft back to Earth on 6 September 2024 without astronauts.
- Now SpaceX was given the responsibility of bringing back astronauts. SpaceX’s Dragon Spacecraft takes 4 astronauts to space station every few months and the park already comes back from its spacecraft at the previous crew space station there.
- When SpaceX launched the crew-9 mission on 28 September 2024, 4 Astronauts were also going to go, but two seats were kept vacant for Sunita and Buch. After his arrival, the park at the crew-8 space station returned to Earth from its spacecraft.
- On 15 March 2025, Spacex launched a crew-10 mission with 4 astronauts. On 16 March, these Astronaut ISS reached. All four Astronauts of Crew-9 have returned from their spacecraft from September at the space station after handover to Crew-10.
What did Sunita Williams do at the space station for 9 months? Sunita Williams worked at the International Space Station (ISS) from spacewalk to scientific experiment and maintenance of the space station during her 9 months.
- Record in spacewalk set: Sunita Williams has so far done 62 hours and 6 minutes spacewalk. This is the record for the most spacewalk by any female astronaut. In January 2025, he had two big spacewalks- one 5 hours 26 minutes and the other 6 hours.

- Physical Fitness: Sunita exercised regularly to avoid muscle and bone weakness due to weightlessness in space. He spent time in weight training and other fitness activities so that health problems could be avoided.
- Cooperation with team: Initially he and Buch were on ISS as Wilmore guest, but later he became part of the regular crew there. He, along with other astronauts, handled the daily tasks and contributed to the mission task.
