US President Donald Trump signed an executive order, under which more than 70 countries have been charged a mutual fee of 10% to 41%. With these new measures, Indian imports will levy 25% duty. The White House said that the US has increased the fee on Canada from 25% to 35%. The step has been taken by the administration in response to the Canadian failure to take action on the illegal drug crisis and the vengeance of the US for steps taken to deal with this danger. Trump said that he was doing this with many of his business partners to reduce the country’s trade deficit. It is worth noting that some countries such as Brazil are imposing additional duty on imported goods, which are addition to the mutual duty listed below. The White House has also released updated fees rates for dozens of other countries.

Canada’s tariff further enhanced
According to the order issued by Trump on 31 July, 25 percent tariff on Canada has been increased to 35 percent. The US says Canada has failed to take action in the case of illegal drugs, which has been considered against the US. Citing this reason, Trump has increased the tariff on Canada.
