Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and ruling Dravid Munesh Kazhagam (DMK) President MK Stalin on Sunday targeted rival party Anna Dravida Munnetra Kashagam (AIADMK) to form a fresh alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and claimed that the party’s true workers are not happy with the alliance.
Stalin alleged that the ruling BJP at the Center cheated Tamil Nadu and despite this, AIADMK chief K.K. Palaniswami formed an alliance with the BJP for the 2026 assembly elections and is now spreading lies during his statewide campaign.
In a letter to the party workers before the seventh death anniversary of his father and former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, Stalin urged DMK workers and supporters to maintain pro -Tamil and Tamil Nadu values promoted by the late leader and work for the success of the party in next year elections, so that the party can get power for the seventh time.
He said that in the states where the BJP is not in power or where there is no possibility of coming to power, the BJP is conspiring against the governments elected through the governors.
In such cases, the DMK government fought a legal battle and succeeded on it on the issue of approved by the Governor of State Bills. Stalin said that at a time when these struggles need to be pushed forward with more perseverance, the AIADMK has aligned with the BJP that betrays the state.
Stalin alleged, “The Leader of the Opposition (Palaniswami) who has no basic principle went to Delhi, kneel and formed an alliance in front of the BJP. Even a true worker of AIADMK is unhappy with this.
