The inauguration of a straight rail link for the valley is a historic milestone that is likely to have far -reaching impact on the development, trade and tourism of Kashmir and will have an all -round integration with the rest of the country.

Now on this, ‘National Conference’ President Farooq Abdullah said on Tuesday that the new train service launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Kashmir will benefit both the local people and tourists. Abdullah told reporters before climbing the train, “I am very happy that I am traveling to Katra by this train today.” It is very beneficial for us. ”Abdullah was also accompanied by many partners of his party. The former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir said that this train connecting Kashmir with the rest of India is a reliable transport service for the people of the valley.

He said, “The road (between Srinagar and Jammu) sometimes stops, then aviation companies start looting people by increasing prices. The commencement of this train will get rid of it. ”Abdullah said that railway contact will prove beneficial for the horticulture sector in Kashmir as it will rapidly reach the markets. He said, “This will also benefit tourists coming to Kashmir.
