After 100 meters, India’s lone sprinter Duti Chand is now disappointed even in the 200 meters. Dutt’s trip to the Tokyo Olympics is now over.
In fact, Indian sprinter Duti Chand failed to qualify for the semifinals of the Tokyo Olympic Games in athletics by finishing seventh and last in the women’s 200m.

In the match, Dutt clocked 23.85 seconds in the fourth heat, his best performance of the season, but it was not enough to make it to the semifinals.
Namibia’s Christine Maboma won the heat with a time of 22.11 seconds. Apart from them, Gabrielle Thomas (22.20) of USA and Aminatu Sayani (22.72) of Niger finished second and third respectively and made it to the semi-finals.

The top three athletes in each of the seven heats and the next three best-timers qualified for the semifinals. Dutt’s maximum time is 23 seconds. She finished 38th out of 41 participants. Earlier on Friday, Dutt could not even make it to the semi-finals of the women’s 100-meter race. She finished seventh with a time of 11.54 seconds.
