Tokyo Olympics: Deepak Poonia beats Chinese and Ravi Kumar beats Bulgarian to reach semifinals

Ravi Kumar has reached the semifinals in the men’s freestyle 57 kg category. Ravi defeated Jordi Wenjelov of Bulgaria 14-4 in the quarter finals. Deepak Poonia (86 kg category) also won the quarter-final match. He defeated China’s Jushan Lin 6-3. Deepak scored two points in the last second. Deepak Poonia will face David Morris Taylor of the United States in the semifinals. He is the second Indian wrestler to reach the semifinals of the Tokyo Olympics.
