Government has increased rebate twice
After the attack in Pahalgam, on April 23, the Government of India finished the visa of all Pakistani citizens and ordered them to leave the country in 48 hours. But in view of the convenience of Pakistani citizens coming from far away, it was first extended till 27 April. By 27 April, only 537 Pakistani citizens returned to Pakistan. Which included 9 diplomats and officers. After which the Government of India made a second change in it and gave a discount to Pak citizens till 29 April. That is, Pakistan citizens will have to leave India in any case today.
Police will arrest if they stay in India
The central government issued a notice for Pakistani citizens on Sunday evening. It says that if the Pakistani who does not leave India in the deadline, then he will be arrested and a case will be run. Such citizens may face 3 years in jail or ₹ 3 lakh or both.
According to the ‘Immigration and Foreigners Act 2025’ implemented from 4 April 2025, strict action will be taken if the visa terms or stopping in India more than the fixed period.

Long term visa holders discount
The Government of India had earlier allowed Hindus with long term visa to stay in the country. Later all long term visa holders were given the benefit. But the Pakistan who went to meet their relatives were not allowed to come back. On Monday, the Government of India issued clear instructions on the previous day, allowing LTV and (No Obligation to Return to India) Nori Certificate holders to enter India. After this decision, on Monday 70 Pakistani citizens reached India via Wagah border. Everyone had either long term visa or Nori Certificate.
All these citizens were given documentary verification on the border and after completing the formalities, they were given entry into India. This has breathed a sigh of relief by these citizens and their families in India.
