This demonstration will be held by the students regarding the Senate elections. However, the administration has allowed the farmers to hold a 3-hour rally at the Dussehra ground of Sector-43, Chandigarh. In such a situation, 3000 policemen have been deployed. Every person coming and going to the university is being checked.
The administration has given permission to the farmers to hold a rally for 3 hours without any condition, but there is a lot of hope of rioting. A few days ago, the students had a meeting with the VC in which the students put their demands and were assured by them that the Senate elections would be announced soon, but when this did not happen, the students held a press conference and gave an ultimatum that if it was not done by November 25, then a big demonstration would be held on the 26th. Farmers will also hold a rally from 12 to 3 o’clock. It is expected that 30 farmers’ organizations will participate in this demonstration.
