Three women were injured in a road accident near village Kauri on the national highway in Khanna in Ludhiana. The three were going to pay obeisance at Gurdwara Manji Sahib on Baisakhi. The car hit the women’s scooty and escaped from the spot. Police investigation

According to the information, the injured women include Simranjit Kaur (28) of village Ekolaha, Gagandeep Kaur (22) of Khanna and Manpreet Kaur (20). All three friends first met at Jarag Chowk. From there she left for Gurdwara on an Activa.
Passengers reached the hospital
When the three women were going on the service road, a car coming from the Rong side hit their Activa. The car driver escaped from the spot after the accident. Passengers admitted the injured women to Civil Hospital Khanna.
According to SHO Sadar Sukhwinderpal Singh, the statements of the injured women have been recorded. The police have noted the car number and started investigation. Action will be taken against the car driver.
