Three people have been arrested for alleged smuggling of crocodiles in Morena, Madhya Pradesh. A police officer gave this information on Sunday. The official said that in the joint action of the police and the forest department, 30 children of crocodiles and three turtles were recovered from the accused in Jaura town.

Vinod Upadhyay, Deputy Ranger of the Forest Department of Jaura, said that he had received information from the informer that the children of Gongial and Turtle were being taken out of the Chambal river and taken for smuggling.

He said that after this, 30 children of crocodiles and three turtles were found in the action taken with the help of police. Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDOP) Nitin S. Baghel said that the accused have been arrested and a case has been registered against them under the Wildlife Protection Act.

He informed that the accused are being questioned and then further action will be taken. Forest department officials said that the accused had brought out the crocodiles and turtle children from the Bateshwara ghat of the Chambal river.
