Three people arrested for online cheating in Jharkhand

Three persons have been arrested for cheating people online by becoming customer service officers of various e-commerce and digital payment forums in Deoghar district of Jharkhand. Police gave this information.

Police said in a statement that on the basis of secret information, one of its teams raided a deserted area of ​​Dalradih in Sarwan police station area on Monday and arrested the accused.

The statement said that the accused have been identified as Pintu Das (26), Pawan Das (24) and Arun Kumar (26), who hail from different parts of Deoghar district. Three mobile phones and eight SIM cards have been seized from his possession.

According to the statement, the three cheated people by allegedly broadcasting fake links related to the PM-Kisan scheme and promising ‘cashback’ on banks’ credit cards.

According to the statement, the accused had uploaded fake customer service numbers of e-commerce and digital payment forums on the search engine to mislead users.
