Three militants arrested in Manipur, two teenagers in custody

Security forces arrested three militants from two banned organizations in Imphal East district of Manipur while two teenagers have been detained. The police gave this information on Monday.

A senior official said that three active activists of the banned ‘People’s Revolutionary Party of Kanglipak’ (PREPAK) were caught on Sunday from the Keirao Khunau area, of which two are teenagers against whom action has been taken under the provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act.

The official said two activists of the banned Congress Communist Party (PWG) were arrested on Sunday from the KEB Haikak measurement Avang Leicai area.

The official said that the two militants were involved in forcible recovery activities and they were caught by the police at the time of which they came for recovery. Police said on Saturday, security forces recovered two rifles, two empty magazines, seven handsets, two mortars and other items in another campaign in Nepali Basti in Shantipur area of ​​Bishnupur district.
