Tension spread in many areas of Mumbai when two major schools received bomb -threatened emails, after which the police immediately took action. According to the information, Kanakia International School in Devanar and Ryan International School in Samta Nagar were targeted in disturbing messages, which not only threatened the institutions, but also warned of bomb blasts in various parts of Mumbai. After the alert, the police teams from Deonar and Samta Nagar immediately reached the respective premises, conducted a thorough search and tightened the security protocol. However, no suspicious object has been found during the investigation so far.
An FIR has been lodged against an unknown person under the respective sections and a cyber cell has been included to detect the origin of the email. This latest threat came a few days after a similar threat received by the US Consulate in BKC area of Mumbai. Officials said that earlier the day was threatened in a private school in Jaipur after threatening a bomb. The threatening palace school was emailed, after which the management immediately informed the local police. The Palace School was founded by Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Dia Kumari, a member of the then royal family of Jaipur. Bomb disposal and dog squad immediately reached the school premises to conduct a detailed investigation.
