Hifazat-e-Islam alleges that the Yunus government is implementing the Women’s Commission recommendations, which are anti-Islam.
On Saturday, 20,000 people associated with Hifazat-e-Islam, a radical Islamic group, took out a rally in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka. It demanded the government to abolish the Women’s Reform Commission. People who came to the rally told the Women’s Reform Commission against Islamic faith.
The protesters had banners and placards in the hands of which it was written, ‘Do not impose western laws on our women, wake up Bangladesh.’ Mamunul Haq, a leader associated with Hifazat-e-Islam, also demanded punishment for the members of the Women’s Reform Commission. He said that this commission has hurt the sentiments of the majority of the people of the country.
Mahila Madrasa teacher Mohammad Shihab Uddin said at the rally that men and women can never be the same. The Quran describes special rules for women and men to live life. Everyone has to accept it.

The rally was taken out at Suhravardi Park in Dhaka. More than 20 thousand people took part in it.
Fundamentalists opposing women’s rights
Crime against minor girls and women has increased in Bangladesh. To prevent this, the Yunus government has formed the Women’s Reform Commission. This commission has introduced some proposals related to promoting women’s rights, gender equality, and secular policies.
It talks about giving equal rights to women in property. Apart from this, it has been recommended to implement a uniform family law for women of all religions.
Family laws in Bangladesh currently apply on the basis of religion. There are Sharia-based laws for Muslim women while Hindu personal laws apply for Hindu women. Laws are applied according to their religions for the rest of the religions.
Hifazat-e-Islam is opposing this. The group says that this proposal weakens Islamic values and imposes Western secularism. Hifazat-e-Islam has warned the Yunus government that if women reforms are implemented, their condition will be like Sheikh Hasina.
Rally will be protected again if they do not accept demands
This group has threatened that if the government does not meet their demands, they will take out rallies across the country on May 23. Hifazat-e-Islam Qaumi is a group made of madrasas and students. It was established in Chittagong in February 2010. It was formed when the Sheikh Hasina government took steps such as amendment in the Women’s Development Policy and Constitution, which some Islamic groups considered against Islam.
It was formed to protect Islam and promote Islamic values. This group advocates the implementation of Sharia law in Bangladesh. Hifazat-e-Islam is not a political party like Jamaat-e-Islami. According to some reports, safety gets funding from Saudi Arabia, which helps to increase its effects.
Violence protested against Modi’s visit in 2021

A rally was taken out by the activists of Hifajat-e-Islam to protest against PM Modi’s visit.
PM Modi went to Dhaka in March 2021 on completion of 50 years of Bangladesh’s independence. The group then held violent protests against his visit. During this time, government properties and temples were targeted in which 12 people lost their lives. …………………………………………………… Read this news related to Bangladesh …
