Those responsible for the warship being damaged will be arrested: North Korea

North Korea said on Friday that it had started taking steps to investigate and arrest those responsible in connection with the damage of its new naval destroyer warship during the watering.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un expressed his anger over the damage to the vessel, saying that it was due to criminal negligence. The demolition warship weighing 5,000 tonnes for North Korea’s Navy was damaged on Wednesday during its watering ceremony.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un also attended the event. North Korean leader Kim wants a big warship to deal with the widespread American -led threats against the country.

It is not normal for North Korea to accept military failures but observers say that the showering of the vessel fails reveals that Kim is serious about her naval program.

According to North Korea’s official ‘Korean Central News Agency’ (KCNA), the 5000 -tonne -class destructive vessel slipped from the ‘ramp’ and trapped at the time of burning the warship, which deteriorated the balance of the warship and damaged its lower part.

KCNA said on Friday that “serious damage is not done” and it can be cured in about 10 days. According to the KCNA report, North Korea’s Central Military Commission started investigating the incident and summoned Hong Kil Ho, manager of Chongjin Shipyard.

According to KCNA, the Commission said, “No matter how better the warship situation is, the truth cannot be changed that this accident is an unforgivable criminal act and people responsible for it can never escape their responsibility.”

Kim has convicted military officers, scientists and shipyard operators for the incident. He has ordered the completion of the warship repair before the high -level meeting of the ruling ‘Workers Party’ to be held in late June.
