The discussion on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha made it clear that the Modi government has adopted a decisive and aggressive approach in its strategy and policies against terrorism. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar gave a message in his speeches that India is not only able to give quick answers to the attacks, but also sets new standards every time.
First of all, when we talk about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech, let us tell you that his address was a proof that now the masters of the terrorists know that India will not sit silent. He said that to avenge the Pahalgam attack on April 22, India had attacked the targets set in just 22 minutes. Modi gave three main messages through his address- 1. India will answer on its terms: “No atomic blackmailing will run now.” 2. The successful use of ‘Made in India’ drones and missiles in this operation was a symbol of India’s defense autonomy. 3. He said that out of 193 countries of the United Nations, only three countries made a statement in favor of Pakistan, while the rest of the countries supported India. Modi also accused the opposition that its leaders are speaking the language of Pakistan and looking at the might of the soldiers with political glasses. This highlights the moral instability of the opposition.

At the same time, if you look at the address of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, let us tell you that he made it clear that A-class terrorists like Suleman, Afghan and Jibran, the mastermind of the Pahalgam attack, were killed in ‘Operation Mahadev’. He said that this campaign was the result of the joint effort of the Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police. Amit Shah said that the evidence against the terrorists was so strong that even his Pakistani voter ID card was recovered. He took a sarcasm at the opposition and said that what kind of politics is it that even after the terrorists were killed, his faces faded.
In his address, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh described Operation Sindoor as an unmatched example of the coordination of the three armies. He said that the purpose of this operation was not to capture any area, but to eliminate the nursery of terrorism raised by Pakistan. Rajnath Singh gave a clear warning to Pakistan that if he did terrorist activities again, it would not take long for Operation Sindoor to resume. He clearly stated that Pakistan had offered a ceasefire only after the Indian Air Force attacks on the morning of May 10.
On the other hand, External Affairs Minister S.K. Jaishankar dismissed the opposition’s allegation that India stopped the operation under pressure from the US or other countries. He said that there was no direct communication between Prime Minister Modi and US President Trump during this period.
In addition, according to the main points that emerged from the Prime Minister, Home Minister, Defense Minister and Foreign Minister’s addresses, only three of the 193 countries of the United Nations supported Pakistan. Postponing the Indus Water Treaty and closing the attic border was a sign of India’s strict policy on terrorism. Also, in Quad, BRICS and UNSC, India made it clear that terrorism and conversation cannot run together.
If seen, the Modi government retaliated in 22 minutes under Operation Sindoor and showed that the time of long discussions is over. The use of ‘Made in India’ weapons exposed Pakistan’s missile and drone technology. At the same time, under the leadership of External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, India created a discourse globally that Pakistan’s terrorism is a threat to humanity. In addition, terrorists and their supporting countries now have to understand that India will not only respond to the attack but also eliminate the attackers.
If seen, Operation Sindoor has proved that India is no longer immunity, but a strategy adopting a nation. The terrorists received the message that even their masters would not get safe hideouts. The Modi government has not only shocked Pakistan’s military and terrorist capacity but has also established on the global platform that India will not bow under any external pressure. This new India is self -sufficient, decisive and is ready to go to any extent to protect the interests of its people.
However, these speeches in Parliament strongly present India’s defense policy, a policy of responding to the terrorist attack and the landscape of foreign policy. There is no doubt that the Modi government has raised a national voice against terrorism, although the criticism by the opposition on security vigil and intelligence failure is also noticeable. The debate was a fight for rich facts and arguments in which the government achieved success, while the opposition tried to increase accountability.
