The Union Government would construct 183 km long two lane National Highway between Mainpur-Pilibhit to Farrukhabad. With the construction of this highway, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Smooth in Nepal There will be road connectivity.
At present there is no main road link in the state from north to south. The project is targeted to be completed by September 2023. After that, millions of road commuters will be able to travel faster and smoother.
A Technical Adviser appointed by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has prepared a feasibility report and Detailed Project Report (DPR) of Mainpuri-Pilibhit through Farrukhabad National Highway Project and submitted it to the department last week. A senior official of the ministry said that the tender process would be started soon and the project would be completed in 24 months.
