CPI and BJP targeted
Shafi Parambil targeted the CPI -M and BJP over the matter. He alleged that when similar allegations were made on his leaders, he saved his leaders. Parambil said, ‘If a CPI (M) leader had resigned like this, he would have been praised for maintaining morality. But in the case of Mamkutathil, even after his resignation, the Congress is facing criticism.
Parambil accused the CPI (M) of diverting people’s attention from the failures of his government. He also questioned why some media institutions are ‘advancing this agenda forward’. He rejected the CPI -M demand that Mamkutathil should also resign from the post of MLA. He called it ‘hypocrisy’ and said that how can the party that allowed her MLA to remain in office even after the charge sheet was filed, how can she make such a demand? He also criticized the BJP, accusing the Poxo accused of promoting the Parliamentary Board.
