What happened during the test flight last week?
The government had conducted a test flight over Burari last week. During the test, small amounts of silver iodide and sodium chloride compounds used to cause artificial rainfall were released from the aircraft. However, with less than 20 percent atmospheric moisture compared to the 50 percent typically required for cloud seeding, precipitation could not occur.
Second cloud seeding test expected at 5 pm
According to reports, the second cloud seeding test is likely to take place at 5 pm in parts of Delhi. Meanwhile, artificial rain is expected in some parts of the region before 7 pm.
