Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Sunday that there is no dearth of high -level medical facilities and resources in Gorakhpur and the needy are being provided all possible assistance through the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Chief Minister Relief Fund and funds of public representatives.
The Chief Minister was addressing the inauguration ceremony of ‘Regency Hospital’. He said, “There is neither lack of special facilities nor money for high level treatment in Gorakhpur. Super specialty facilities are available here and there is also the Prime Minister-Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana (Ayushman) to provide benefits to the common citizen. ”
He said that if the prescribed amount of Ayushman Yojana is insufficient in the treatment of a patient, then he will be helped by the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and the funds of the public representatives.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister inspected the hospital and reviewed the facilities available and also started a patient app called ‘Regency My Care’. He said that the state government has so far provided free treatment to five and a half crore people under the Ayushman Yojana.
The Chief Minister said that people who do not get the benefit of Ayushman or Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana are given assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Along with this, MLAs have also been given the right to provide assistance of up to Rs 25 lakh from their funds for treatment.
