Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti has made shocking new claims about her brother’s death, which according to her was not suicide. In a recent interview with journalist Shubhankar Mishra, Shweta revealed that two psychiatrists, one in the US and the other in Mumbai, had told her that Sushant was murdered by two persons.
Sushant’s death in June 2020 shocked the entire nation, leading to a media uproar and multiple investigations by the Mumbai Police, Enforcement Directorate (ED), Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Although all agencies concluded that there was no foul play, Shweta’s recent statements show that she is still not convinced by the official findings.
How can suicide happen? Shweta raised questions on suicide theory
Shweta began by questioning how suicide was physically possible under these circumstances. He said,“How could this be a suicide? There was not even enough distance between the fan and the bed to hang one’s legs. There was no space. If someone was thinking of committing suicide, he would have used a stool, right? If there was distance, he would have used a stool, climbed on it, tied a rope. But there was no stool. And if you look at the marks on the body, they do not appear to be marks of a scarf. The thing that was used did not leave any mark like a cloth – that one It was like a thin chain mark.”
Shweta says that psychologists contacted
According to Shweta, soon after her brother’s death, a US-based psychologist contacted her through a family acquaintance. He said that one of the people who contacted me was a psychologist from America. I have a brother-like friend there, he is American. When she realized what had happened, she said, ‘I have a godmother who goes into deep meditation, very deep trance. Let me talk to him.’ So she called her, and she didn’t even know who I was or who my brother was. She didn’t know anything about us. He’s American, right? And he said, ‘He was murdered.’ Two people came.

He further said that later another mental patient from Mumbai also reached out to him sharing similar details. Then another psychologist from Bombay contacted me. I didn’t know anything about that either. And she also said the same thing that Godmother had said to me. You tell me – how can both say the same thing? Both of them said that two people had come and murdered him.

CBI report rejects allegations of irregularities, family disagrees
Despite these new claims, the CBI’s official closure report states that there is no evidence that Sushant was “unlawfully confined, threatened or incited to suicide” by Rhea Chakraborty or anyone else. The agency also found no indication that Rhea had embezzled his money, instead saying that Sushant considered her “family”.
