The young cricketer who captained Team India in the Under-19s has died, leaving the cricketing world in shock.

Former India Under-19 captain Avi Barot died of a heart attack on Friday. Brot, 29, was also a member of the Saurashtra team that won the 2020 Ranji Trophy. The Saurashtra Cricket Association today issued a statement on Barot’s death.

Describing Barot as a talented player, the association has expressed grief over his sudden demise. The sudden demise of this young cricketer has shocked the entire cricket world. Former India batsman Wasim Jaffer has also expressed grief over Barot’s death. The Saurashtra Cricket Association today said, “We are deeply saddened and saddened by the sudden demise of Avi Barot. Barot was a brilliant and very talented cricketer. ” Jaydev Shah, president of the association, said, “Everyone is shocked to hear of the sudden demise of Avi Barot. His cricketing skills were excellent and at the same time he was a great player. His performance in all the domestic matches has been excellent. He was a very friendly and kind person. We are all deeply saddened by his death. ”

Avi Barot captained India’s under-19 team in 2011. That same year, he was named Cricketer of the Year by the BCCI in the Under-19 category. In his short career, Barot played 38 first-class matches, 17 List A matches and 20 Twenty20 matches. In his first-class career, Barot scored 1547 runs at an impressive average of 48.49. Barot started his career playing for the Gujarat team in the domestic circuit. He then joined the Saurashtra team and was instrumental in winning the Ranji Trophy for the 2019-20 season. Earlier this year, Barot created a sensation by scoring a magnificent century in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy against Goa.
