The Sensex surged 52,900 points

The stock market has made a great start to the first trading day of August. 30 of BSE The main indicator with shares The Sensex opened 314.44 points higher at 52,901.28 on Monday.

The biggest gain of 2% in the Sensex was in Titan. Other major gainers included Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel, HDFC, Maruti, Bajaj Finserv, Infosys and Reliance Industries. On the other hand, Tech Mahindra, Sun Pharma, NTPC Sensex closed 66.23 points, or 0.13 per cent, lower at 52,586.84 in the previous session, while the broader NSE Nifty closed 15.40 points, or 0.10 per cent, lower at 15,763.05.
