The Royals Series Review | Ishaan Khattar showed royalty, could not do justice with the role of Bhumi Pedne

The Royals is a Netflix series that brings a ruined royal family in Rajasthan and a business CEO together. This deal is meant to benefit the teams but in the end no one belongs to it. Last week, Netflix India released an eight -part romantic comedy series The Royals, which faced a lot of criticism. The main points of the dispute were from the set and more attention to the set and costume instead of the script, from the acting of the main female character Bhumi Pednekar. Pednekar plays Sophia, who is an ambitious entrepreneur and wants to make the royal palace of Morpur accessible to the common people.
The series filled with many senior actors like Sakshi Tanwar, Zeenat Aman, Dino Moriya, Milind Soman and Chunky Pandey also includes new talents like Ishaan Khattar, Vihaan Samat, Bhumi Pednekar, Kavya Trehan, Yashaswini Dayama, Nora Fatehi and budding Lisa Mishra and Suresh. This series of eight-episode is about some major relationship conflicts, shirtless Ishaan, Sakshi’s Maya Sarabhai accent, Jaipur Fort and Shahi Fashion. Ishaan Khattar’s Aviraj aka Phiji is a shirt-polo-player, party-playing and future Maharaja, who moves forward with restlessness following the orders of his recent father to sit on the throne of Morpur, while equally foolish-siblings-siblings-siblings-Diggi and Junni (funny vahan tran) and Junni (Kavya Trani). Let’s go on their own way.
Story
The series begins with Sophia Kanmani Shekhar, starring Bhumi Pednekar, who is ready for the biggest pitch of her life while running on the beach in the morning. During this time, he stops an employee, who very politely asks him to run backwards because there is a photoshoot in the middle of the beach. However, as Sophia being a Sophia, the barricade breaks and runs throughout the set-up. Here the audience is introduced to VIP, Ishaan Khattar, Maharaj of Morpur, Aviraj Singh.

Later, we again see an unpleasant Sophia to talk to VIP people in an restaurant cum bar because it is on a call that can be obviously anywhere outside. However, from this Aviraj notes him and later, quite fast, they go to the room for a fun night that is interrupted by the phone call. And here comes the most non-real part of the series, the fight that should have been the basis of the conspiracy to ‘convert this enemy into a lover’, seek out, pulled and forced out of place.

Somehow, due to a deal, Sophia Kanmani Shekhar, along with her team reaches the palace of Morpur, where she realizes that not Digvijay Singh (Vihaan Samat) but her abandoned lover is the real king of the palace in which she wants to establish her business. After almost losing the deal and making a round, the two somehow come to the same page to continue the deal, as the royal houses needed money and Sophia and the team needed to do this work to survive. Despite coming to the same page, of course, more clashes, sourness in the relationship, dream fulfillment and breakdown that takes you only to the end that becomes a dead end.

How is the Royals series?
Produced by Rangita Pritish Nandi and Ishita Pritish Nandi, The Royals is a show that fell down due to the narrative collapse of her script. In eight episodes, the show not only reflects the romance between Sophia and Aviraj, but also focuses on a poorly hidden family secrets and business quarrels with a person who is difficult to identify. When the script is not busy pursuing a dull relationship, it quickly gives a brief description of the dual life of these royal houses. It has bizarre royal family, the royal family people who have an affair and are the people of the royal family who like to become a chef. Although just depicting hollow stereotypes, this supporting artist emerges as a slight improvement factor in a script that is otherwise dependent on the influential acting of land and northeast. Vihaan Samat has done much more as a widow queen’s mother and Vihaan Samat as a princely prince, but she has not been given time on screen to show all this. Zeenat Aman has also been given a criminal character as Shahi Kulmata.
There are some unique stories in the Royals story, but to get something worth watching you have to look at eight-hour forecasted fluctuations. Like the Morpur family, which is enamored with its grand appearance, there is a creative decrease despite having a long list of talented names in Royals.
