The accused first takes the family to Naina Devi and after bowing down, the accused makes an excuse that he has to offer the coconut found in the temple in the Bhakra canal, but after going there, he fraudulently pushes the mother, son and daughter into the canal.
The victim’s family is said to be a resident of Sheikhan village. The accused first takes the mother, daughter and son to Naina Devi and on the way back completes the entire incident, after which the accused reaches the Barnala police station and lodges a report of the disappearance of the three. The police start looking for everyone. The accused pushed Kiranjit Kaur (45), Sukhchanpreet Kaur 25 and Harmanjit Singh 22 years into the canal.
After which the accused is arrested by the police on the basis of suspicion and after strict questioning he admits his wrongdoing and tells that he was the one who pushed the three in the canal.
