RJD leader and Grand Alliance’s chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav will hold a rally in Saran today to garner public support for the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar. Earlier, while addressing an election rally in Katihar, Tejashwi said that the Waqf Act would be ‘thrown in the dustbin’ if the grand alliance came to power in Bihar. On the other hand, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar went to the residence of his NDA ally Chirag Paswan. Speaking to the media, Chirag said that all is well between LJP (RLD) and JDU. He said that NDA will form the government in the state and their victory will break all previous records. Bihar assembly elections will be held in two phases on 6 and 11 November. Counting of votes will take place on November 14.

Earlier on Sunday, speaking to reporters at an election rally in Madhubani, the Jan Suraj founder claimed that voters are moving on from the fear-generated choices between Nitish Kumar-BJP and Lalu Yadav-RJD and presenting a leaderless, caste-neutral alternative focused on the youth of Bihar.

You will see a new political history being made in Bihar, and the era which was going on here for 30 years, where people used to vote for Nitish Kumar-BJP out of fear of Lalu ji and for Lalu Yadav out of fear of BJP, is now coming to an end. He said that if Jan Suraj Party government is formed, no one will have to leave the state for livelihood.
