The main accused in the murder of real estate businessman arrested in Delhi

The main accused in the case of murder of a man -turned -real estate businessman to a real estate businessman was arrested in Delhi on Tuesday. Police gave this information.

Police said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Birathi Basavarajka is also included in this case. Police said the absconding crook Jagdish alias Jaggi (42) has been arrested by the Karnataka Police Crime Investigation Department (CID) team since the murder took place last month.

With the new arrest, the total number of people detained in this case has now increased to 17. Police said Shivprakash alias Biku Shivu (40) was murdered in Bharti Nagar in the city.

According to police sources, Jagdish, the alleged ally of BJP MLA Basavraj, fled to Chennai, from where he allegedly moved to Dubai, Thailand and Sri Lanka and then returned to Delhi. Jagdish fled the country after the murder on July 15, after which investigators issued a lookout circular against him.

Police sources said that the accused was arrested as soon as he landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and was taken to Bangalore. BJP MLA Basavaraj has been questioned at least twice in connection with the murder so far. He has denied any involvement in the case and described the allegations against him as baseless.
