Vijay, the founder and actor-royalty of Tamilga Vatri Kazhagam (TVK), on Sunday, targeted the DMK government for ‘deaths’ in Tamil Nadu on Sunday. He alleged that ‘the DMK government, which is hollow and only campaigned, has now turned into a pathetic apology-model government’.
Addressing TVK’s protest rally here, Vijay said that Ajit Kumar, who was a victim of torture in custody, was from an ordinary family, and the Chief Minister has apologized to the victim’s family, which is correct.
Vijay, dressed in black clothes, was holding a plank, on which it was written, ‘Sorry vendam, nidhi vendam (we want justice, not forgiveness).’ The TVK chief questioned whether Chief Minister Stalin has apologized to the families of all 24 victims of torture (from which deaths) during the DMK rule from 2021. He told the government, ‘Please apologize to all of them; Also, have you compensated the families of all 24 victims? Please also give them compensation. ‘

Vijay also questioned the DMK government’s attitude. He reminded that when in 2020, the Sathankulam case (in which the police was allegedly tortured by the police to kill P Jayaraj and his son Jayj Benix) was handed over to the CBI by the then AIADMK government, Stalin described it as an insult to the Tamil Nadu police.
Vijay asked surprise that when the DMK government has submitted the case of Ajit Kumar’s death in custody a few days ago to the CBI, is this not an insult to the police? He said that both cases are the same.
Also, Vijay questioned, ‘Why are you hiding behind CBI?’ He described the CBI as a puppet of only RSS and BJP. Vijay alleged that the DMK government under the supervision of his party, TVK, a special investigation team has been ‘afraid’ and hence it is hiding behind the central government. He also informed that the court has asked the state government on several ‘atrocities’ including sexual harassment of Anna University student and torture Ajit Kumar in custody.

Vijay said, ‘If the court has to intervene on everything and ask questions, then why are you there? What is the purpose of the government and the Chief Minister’s Office? Whatever the questions are, there will be no answer to them. The government can answer only when it has answers and has no answer in this regard. He made fun of the DMK government, alleging, “Your side is maximum answer and hollow, only the DMK government with the promotional DMK has now turned into an apology government.”
Vijay warned that he would have to fix the law and order situation before the ‘unqualified DMK government term’ is over. Otherwise, he said, ‘Together with the public,’ We will make you forced you to do so. ‘
