The history of India was incorrectly presented … Pawan Kalyan accused the Mughal glory on textbooks

Actor-prose and politician Pawan Kalyan criticized the glorification of the Mughal rulers in school textbooks and accused the education system of ignoring the suffering suffered by Indians under his rule. Speaking on the historical topics shown in his upcoming film ‘Hari Har Veera Mallu’ in Hyderabad, he said that the history of India has been incorrectly presented and its true heroes have been ignored.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj should be taught in schools, on this statement Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said that you praise so much about Akbar. You glorify an invader like Babur. But why were we not taught about Vijayanagar? The main thing was how Chhatrapati Shivaji saved the temples of Tamil Nadu. Why was it not told? I accept that the rest of the dynasties never got the recognition they deserve. I think we have the right to know about it.
The Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh said that India did not attack anyone. We did not torture anyone. Everyone tried to capture, attack and torture our country. He further said that history books praise the Mughal emperors, but do not accept the atrocities and resistance of the native rulers. He said that we study in school and college books, how long will they continue to talk about the greatness of the Mughals and our sufferings? He never told about the harassment and the era that we have faced. He said that Akbar is great, Aurangzeb is great, but he did not say anything about what he did. He did not talk about the kings of our country who fought bravely.

Pawan Kalyan said that we started this film about 4-5 years ago. This special film was interesting for me because it is based on the Mughal period, and as a child, when we used to study in school, the Mughals were greatly glorified, and the rest of the dynasties were never glorified. So for me, it was very interesting. He said that after assuming the charge of Deputy Chief Minister, some cases came to my cognizance which we resolved. A girl was taken from here to Kerala and then Bangalore. Eventually, the police could find him in Jammu. Such situations continue, but to what extent, I think the country should consider it. There may be other such cases in Uttar Pradesh.
