Moga News: The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is continuously making efforts to provide basic facilities, clean and pollution free environment to the people of the state. Taking another step in this direction, Local Government Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar announced that it is proposed to spend Rs 7.27 crore for the development works of Municipal Corporation Moga.
In this regard, Local Government Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that the development works include laying sewerage line from Parwana Gate to Chokha Palace Chowk in Ward No. 40 and 41, construction of Rain Harvesting Recharge Well at Municipal Corporation Moga and Ward No. In 1943, direct bore works were carried out at Kurina Ghall Kalan Road.
Similarly, other development works include installation of direct bore in Kabir Nagar in Ward No. 15, Sadhan Wali Basti in Ward No. 24 and Prem Nagar in Ward No. 14. It includes arranging sewerage line and laying sewerage line in the street adjacent to Mallan Shah road. Also included in these development works is a scheme for repairing machinery installed at various disposals, motors and sewer pumps in Moga city.

Dr. Nijjar added that the project includes installation of piezo meters at the dump site in Moga, arrangement and laying of sewer line, manhole chambers and repair of road lanes in Zone C and D of Moga city. Besides, deep bores (300X200 m) with reverse rig method or any other latest technology against failed bores at Akalsar Gurdwara cremation ground in ward no.23, Preet Nagar cremation ground in ward no.27, Mohalla Sandhuan in ward no.33 and Mahmewala village cremation ground. .M) Tube wells will be installed.
He also said that there is a plan to carry out many more development works in the same way at Municipal Corporation Moga. The development works are expected to improve the infrastructure and facilities in Municipal Corporation Moga, which will provide better amenities and livable environment to the residents.
