The first batch of pilgrims left for the Yatra of Sri Hemkunt Sahib

The first batch of pilgrims for the pilgrimage to Gurdwara Sri Hemkunt Sahib in Uttarakhand was left today from Gurdwara Rishikesh. The Jatha was sent off by the Governor of Uttarakhand, Gurmeet Singh, according to Gurmat Mriyaada. According to the information received, the cupboards of Gurdwara Sri Hemkunt Sahib will be opened for the congregation on May 20. Under which the first batch of pilgrims has been dispatched from the Gurdwara Sahib located in Rishikesh today.

Gurdwara Sri Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust President Narendrajit Singh Bindra said that the trust has completed all the preparations for the annual yatra. He said that the first batch of pilgrims has been dispatched by the Governor. On this occasion, besides the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and other ministers, many religious personalities were also present. He said that the first batch has been sent under the leadership of Panch Pyara.

According to the information received, the pilgrims coming on the pilgrimage of Sri Hemkunt Sahib will be sprinkled with hot water at different places on the 15 km walk. For which two water ATMs will be installed at Bhundar and Ghangaria. Along with this, hot water will be provided at three places for the horses and mules on the journey. These arrangements are being made by the Jal Sanstha in view of the severe cold in the Hemkunt Sahib area.
