The role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in preparing content for election campaign is increasing rapidly. In view of this, the Election Commission is making guidelines to curb its misuse and promote better use. Its glimpse can be seen in Bihar assembly elections.

Sources said that the content related to generative AI for political parties, media and social media will have to be told. The rules and methods of using AI in publicity will be cleared. Guidelines are also being made about fake and deepfec promotion videos and audio.

Its aim is that voters cannot be confused or affected their choice incorrectly by using AI content. Also, it will be tried to do that the privacy of the voters or the fairness of the election should not be affected.

More than 5 crore robot calls were made in Lok Sabha elections This move of the Commission is important given the report on AI of Global Election Tracking. This has shown that AI is used in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections 10% from the US election and 30% more than the British elections.

2. The video of Congress leader viral, said- Vote good BJP by voting for TMC: TMC shared a video of Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary. In this, he was heard saying at a rally in Murshidabad in West Bengal that instead of voting for TMC, it would be good for the BJP to vote.

To this, TMC said that Adhir Ranjan is the BJP’s B team. In response, the Congress said that the video has been tampered with. The West Bengal Congress Committee lodged a complaint with the Election Commission regarding this video and appealed to take legal action against the accused.
