The body of a watchman on the roadside in Gauriganj police station area of Amethi district was found on Saturday under suspicious circumstances. Police gave this information. According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Amar Nath Pasi (56), a resident of Purva village of Rohsi Pasin, whose body was found on the roadside under suspicious circumstances near Sakrawan village near RTO office.
Amarnath, who came from the Dalit class, was a watchman at Gauriganj police station, riding on a motorcycle from the house at around 9 pm on Friday night for duty. Inspector -in -charge Shyam Narayan Pandey said that he probably hit his motorcycle by an unknown vehicle, killing him. He said that the body has been sent for postmortem and the case is being investigated.
