After the success of Operation Sindoor, the Indian Armed Forces are preparing to buy a large number of BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles. The Indo-Russia BrahMos missile known for its speed, accuracy and versatility was deployed on a large scale to attack Pakistani air locations, army cantonments and terrorist camps in the enemy’s territory during the four-day struggle.

Large orders for Navy and Air Force
In a high-level meeting in the coming days in the Ministry of Defense, the large-scale purchase of BrahMos missiles is expected to be approved. The purchase will include the naval version for the brave-class warships of India enhancing the maritime attachment of India, and the air version for the Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jets of the Indian Air Force, which will provide the ability to hit far away and target accurately. Sources have confirmed that BrahMos will also be integrated with ground systems for ground attacks.

Prime Minister Modi appreciated indigenous weapons
Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the post -war review meeting appreciated indigenous defense systems and said, during Operation Sindoor, the world saw the capabilities of our indigenous weapons. Our air defense systems, missiles and drones, especially the BrahMos missiles, have proved the strength of self -reliant India.
How BrahMos missiles were used in Operation Sindoor
In the initial phase of the operation, the Indian Air Force used BrahMos missiles to carry out accurate attacks on terrorist bases in Pakistan, including the camps of Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba in the Punjab province. The accuracy of the fast pace of this weapon helped neutralize important goals before the reaction of the Pakistani security forces. The Pakistani Army tried to retaliate after the devastation at Pakistani air bases.
